PLC Interface
The position feedback module uses a noise-immune ratiometric method to decode  resolver signals. The decoded position in passed to the PLC through the backplane. The  module may be programmed from the PLC or keypad in front of the module. The  module communicates with the PLC using Input & Output registers.

Programmable  Resolution
Unlike optical encoders, the M8350 offers you a programmable resolution from 20 to 4,096 counts-per-turn.

Built-in Motion Detector and Tachometer
The unit has a built-in tachometer  and motion detector. The motion detector can only energize a relay when the RPM is  between the programmed low and high alarm values.

Broken-Wire Detection
The unit  features a broken resolver-wire detector to supervise the resolver input signal. The  broken-wire detector will signal the fault output if the resolver is missing any signals.
